Welcome to Calmo. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: We collect your email address when you create an account. Authentication is securely handled by Firebase.
• Usage Data: Information such as music played, favorites, downloads, and interactions within the app.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and general technical data for analytics and performance.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Used for authentication and database services.
• Cloudflare R2: Used for storing and delivering audio content.

These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.

Audio Content

Audio content available in Calmo is sourced from Pixabay under its royalty-free license.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize your experience in the app.
• To improve app features, recommendations, and performance.
• To communicate with you about updates or support.
• To ensure security and prevent misuse.

Information Sharing

• We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
• We may share data with trusted service providers (e.g., analytics or cloud storage providers) who are required to protect your information.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data Retention and Deletion

User account information is securely stored in Firebase while the user account remains active. Data is retained for as long as the account is active, or up to 30 days following a deletion request.

We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable usage data for analytics purposes after account deletion. This data cannot be linked back to any individual user.

Users can permanently delete their account in two ways:

• From the app: Open Calmo → Tap the User Icon → Scroll to the bottom → Tap "Delete Account". Your account and associated data are removed immediately upon confirmation.
• Via email: Contact us at awaisjavaid93@gmail.com . Email deletion requests are processed within 30 days, and you will receive confirmation once your data has been removed.

Once the deletion request is processed, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

• Profile information (name, email, photo)
• Favorites and saved content
• Usage-related data

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Advertising

Calmo may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob.

These advertising providers may collect limited device and usage information to provide and improve advertising services.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Calmo is intended for general audiences. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated policy within the app.
